The Central Montana Community Cupboard of Lewistown
The mission of the Central Montana Community Cupboard is to serve Central Montana by collecting and distributing food to families and individuals facing emergency situations. The cupboard is a nonprofit organization that meets its goals by accepting food and cash donations from residents, churches, schools, businesses, and civic organizations. Our policy is to serve families and individuals with food assistance adequate for three days' sustenance; such assistance is available six times in each six-month period. Persons who need to use the Cupboard can obtain a referral from community churches, HRDC, Council on Aging, Office of Public Assistance, Saves, Family Planning, Headstart, Boys and Girls Club, and Law Enforcement agencies. |

The Central Montana Community Cupboard not only benefits the families and individuals needing food, but also nourishes the community spirit between local organizations. Studies have shown that people who perform volunteer work or contribute to their community in other ways are typically more happy and satisfied with their lives than those who do not. The Central Montana Community Cupboard is more than a food bank. We also collect donations of needed personal care items to provide to our clients. We are located at 318 W. Broadway in Lewistown, Montana 59457. Our phone number is (406) 535-2015. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. ![]() |
